By accessing and using Anime Facts 101 (https://animefacts101.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website.

1. Use of Content

All facts, summaries, and recommendations on this site are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content.

2. User Accounts & Authentication

You may sign in to Anime Facts 101 using your Google account. By signing in, you authorize us to receive and store basic profile information from Google, including your full name, first name, last name, email address, email verification status, profile picture, and language/locale preference.

You are responsible for the security of the third-party account you use to sign in.
We do not store your password — authentication is handled entirely by the third-party provider.
Your session is maintained via an encrypted cookie. Account data and activity (such as quiz progress, game scores and leaderboard entries, saved content, comments, votes, and poll responses) is stored in our database for authenticated users so it persists across devices.
You may choose a custom nickname and select a preset avatar from a built-in gallery. The nickname and avatar you choose replace the name and picture received from Google for display within the site (including on game leaderboards) and are stored on your account in our database.
You agree that any nickname you submit must not contain profanity, hate speech, harassment, sexual content, or impersonation of another person, brand, or staff member, and must comply with applicable laws. We use automated filtering and reserve the right to reject, reset, or remove any nickname (and to restrict the offending account) at our sole discretion. Nicknames must also be unique across all users.
When you submit a score to a game leaderboard, your chosen display name (nickname or, if not set, the name received from Google) and your chosen avatar (preset selection or, if not set, the picture received from Google) are publicly visible to all visitors as part of the leaderboard.
You agree to play games fairly and not to manipulate, automate, exploit, or otherwise tamper with leaderboard submissions. We reserve the right to remove scores or restrict accounts that engage in such behavior.
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to any user account at our discretion.
You may sign out at any time, which will clear your session data from your browser.

3. Third-Party Services

We embed YouTube videos and Facebook reels, display ads through Google AdSense, load the Mediavine Grow engagement widget, measure traffic with Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights, use Google OAuth for user authentication, and deliver images (facts, rankings, and the anime wallpapers gallery) through Cloudinary. These services may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control or take responsibility for external content or tracking technologies used by these providers.

4. Intellectual Property

All original content, including text, structure, and formatting, is the property of Anime Facts 101. Anime imagery, video, and names may be trademarks of their respective owners and are used under fair use for commentary, education, and fan-based purposes.

5. Limitations of Liability

Anime Facts 101 is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of this site, including inaccuracies, broken links, third-party content, or purchases made through external links.

6. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
